Approximately 12″ beyond each side of the frame. Choose hardware rated for at least 84″ and use a center support or the manufacturer’s required bracket arrangement.

Your custom measurement plan
A polished, floor-considered finish.
Mount approximately 8″ above the frame, leaving about 2″ below the ceiling.
50″ panels provide 200″ of fabric, or 2.38x actual fullness.
The 90″ ready-made length should work with little or no adjustment. The panel length is calculated from the rod or panel top to the finished hem. Confirm the header construction on the product listing.
Look for 4 panels at 50″ wide × 90″ long, plus a rod that adjusts to at least 84″.
Hardware allowance: The panel length is calculated from the rod or panel top to the finished hem. Confirm the header construction on the product listing.
Before you order
Three checks prevent most curtain mistakes.
- 01
Confirm the hanging point. Rings, clips, pockets, and hooks can change the finished length.
- 02
Check wall clearance. Finials, brackets, furniture, and nearby corners may limit rod extension.
- 03
Measure twice after hardware is installed. Floors and ceilings are not always level, so hem only after the rod is secure.
