Choose a chair you can stay comfortable in
Compare seat height, recline angle and ottoman position with the way you listen. A lounge chair with a fixed angle differs from an adjustable recliner. Try the configuration before ordering when possible. Keep a reachable surface for a drink or remote so the listening position remains easy to use.
Soften the room without making acoustic promises
A rug, curtains and upholstered furniture change the room’s feel and may alter reflections, but their effect depends on the space. Listen before and after changes rather than assuming a decorative panel solves every problem. Keep equipment accessible and leave the floor around the chair free of loose cables.
