Inventory samples before designing storage
Measure the largest fabric memo, wallpaper roll, rug sample, swatch book and return carton. Store flat pieces in shallow labeled drawers, hang active textiles without folding when the material allows and reserve closed shelves for adhesives or sharp tools according to their labels and household needs. Leave one empty return bin so borrowed samples do not disappear into the archive.
Separate comparison, cutting and catalog review
Protect the walnut worktable with a removable cutting mat and keep blades away from seated knees and the main route.
